2 hours later and I still only have a confirmation that my account was created. For those reading carefully, yes I use keyboard shortcuts a lot - when you know the shortcuts, they are far more efficient and more ergonomic than moving your hand back and forth from the keyboard to the mouse all the time. Now I am in business, but it is good that I didn't hit enter, because Tab sent me to the "clear the form" button, not the Submit button. I hit Tab just in case that might help (Tab moves me to the next field, which seems to "send" the date validation). Still can't Submit, even though all the information is correct. This time, I get the correct month as if by magic, and I select the date. This throws another "can't submit" error. I can't go back to last month, when I bought it, by clicking or scrolling - so I type it in. It forces me to go back and enter it in all CAPS (but there is no indication that this is required you just get a greyed out Submit button I took a guess from years of QC-ing bad code and it paid off). And take my best guess at the right sticker for the serial number. So I re-enter what I had already started.I go back to the main form (it would not let me Open a New Tab for this operation), and it has wiped out my already-entered information. Not only do I have to click into another page to see the sample serial number, the sample photo in no way resembles the one on my UPS. Registration isn't effective if it doesn't match, but. Just to be safe, I always check the sample serial number, because there are often multiple codes on the back of electronics. My exact model number is not there, despite hundreds of options, so I click the closest one. I start typing in the box to find the model number.Required fields are not clear (seriously, who doesn't use the * for this, I ask you?).An hour later (ish) I get a notification that my account has been created.Ĭompleting the registration form (now that I have an account).I hit Submit to create an account & get a "check your email" page. ![]() Would have been WAAAAY faster to just type Texas in manually. NOPE! This one starts by searching EVERY state that has a letter T in it this is a larger number than I realized.
